# PaycheckForge > Free, source-cited US paycheck and salary calculators for tax year 2026. Estimates cover federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare and state income tax for all 51 jurisdictions (9 with no wage tax). Every figure comes from one versioned engine (2026.2.1) whose parameters are published as an open CC BY 4.0 JSON rule pack. Results are planning estimates, not payroll output: annual liability is spread evenly across pay periods; local taxes, credits and itemised deductions are not modelled. Data as of 2026-09-05. Inputs are processed in the browser, never sent to a server. ## Calculators - [Employer Cost Calculator](https://paycheckforge.com/tools/employer-cost-calculator/): Estimate total employer cost and compare base salary with official BLS state wage thresholds for 23 occupations. - [Take-Home Pay Calculator](https://paycheckforge.com/tools/take-home-pay-calculator/): Estimate your 2026 net paycheck after federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare and state income tax.
